Care
What
to do:

Have your battery checked by an expert.

Store Batteries in areas protected against the elements to prevent
deterioration.

Keep batteries fully charged.
-
Ensure correct polarity connection when recharging, fitting
and jump starting. (Positive to Positive; Negative to Negative)

Follow recharging schedules to prevent overcharging.
-
Use only petroleum jelly on the terminals. ( Not grease )
-
Ensure that the terminal posts and battery are always clean
and dry.
What
Not to do:
-
Do not top-up cells with acid or tap water.
-
Do not store batteries in a discharged state.
-
Do not stand or sit on batteries.
-
Do not test batteries by shorting across terminal posts, with
wire, pliers, etc.
-
Do not leave parked vehicle with accessories switched on.
-
Do not use single spanner to tighten battery clamp, this damages
post lid seal. (Spanner to nut and spanner to bolt.)
-
Do not allow open flame/spark near battery, it can explode.
